Hi, I own a 99' Dakota sport 2wd and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on what kind of lift and what size wheels/tires I should get.
Thank You

You could probably fit 33's then.

Hawkeye,
Is that 33" with BOTH the fabtech and 3" body lift?

The 3" fabtech and either a 2" or 3" body lift are my plans for the future. Just wish I didn't have to buy new wheels to accomidate the fabtech. Cause of that I've really gotta buy/do everything in one shot.

James.

Cody,
You realise the stock wheels cannot be used after installing the fabtech, right? You need a wheel with 3.75" or less backspacing.
Check out Bernds site
http://lonestar.texas.net/~bernd/Dakota.htm
to see a 2wd dak with the 3" fabtech, 2" body lift, and some 32" tires.

James.

Yeah, I meant to say I'm getting Tires for free. The wheels im buying, weld racing super single II with a 45/8 backspacing, which is 3.75". So they should work.

Bernd uses a 2" body lift with 15x8's and 32's. Fabtech recommends, without a body lift, 15 x 7's with 31's. They picture a Dak with 32's but I emailed them twice and they assure me that 7" wheels is what they recommend.

DAKOTAJOE,
Tuff Country only makes lifts for 4x4 vehicles,
they do not offer anything for 2wd.

Ryan, nobody, as of yet, makes a bigger 2-wheel drive lift kit. As for your wheel question, yes the 15x8's will clear your calipers and on a 2-wheel drive i would not go any wider than a 15x8.
