Went to the NEUROC Rock Crawling Championships this past weekend... I am not impressed at all with MTR's. The guys running BFG Krawlers were running over top or everything... Mud, Rock... The goodyear guys were slipping and sliding everywhere. Go BFG

So what!

If truth hurts BFG tires are better than GY, So what!

I think BFG are kind of over rated, I only have the MT's got ride of the AT's.

I just got back from a run to Moab Utah with some of the folks from Pavementsucks.com. The three trucks that ran everything including the Poison Spider Mesa, Golden Spike and Gold Bar Rim trails were runnning Goodyear MTR's, Super Swamper Boggers and Super Swamper TSL's. Out of all three, I would definately say that the Goodyears performed the best, followed by the Boggers. I was unimpressed with the TSL's, which showed a lot more wear and didn't perform as well as the others.

I havent seen the MTR's go up against the Krawlers, but I can tell you the MTR's are an exceptional rock tire. The only place I have seen them lacking was in the sand, where they dig a little too much and are less effective than the BFG mt's.

Hi forexfour,

Sorry for the delay in response, I havent been on here much lately... A good buddy of mine is one of the usuals on the Pavementsucks trips and Im starting to go as his spotter. Everyone I have met from the site are good people and they run hard. In fact, while I havent seen any real pressure to run anything, enough people have had to limp or be towed home that Ive taken to calling them brokenparts.com! If your interested, check out http://www.pavementsucks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=18235&forum=2&start=0 for the thread on the Moab trip. You can read all about the carnage and excitement! My buddy is Ramcc4x4, who youll see doesnt show up until the second page of the thread, because the two of us were broken down for 4 days on the way back in a BS town called Richfield Utah. Definately a trip I would repeat!

Wildhawk,

I have hooked up with those guys a few times. Perpetrate form this board has run with them as well. I have met up with your buddy before, I think he is the one with a greem Ram locked and lifted. I know those guys are not afraid of a repair bill. I like to watch people thrash their stuff but not pressure me to thrash mine. I have some video of those guys on my site.

You should try and make our big group meet at Pismo 8-23,24.

We should hit Hollister someday.
