I keep hearing about cranking down on the torsin bars gives you an inch of lift. Is this true? If so how do you do this and does it effect ride quality?

I don't know if I'm a idiot for not knowing this but any info would be helpful.

The ride will be stiffer.

DJ did a pretty good page on how to adjust the torsion bars.

http://www.djrescue.com/dakota/how%20to/torsionbar.htm

By tightening the torsion bars what you are doing is causing a stronger twisting motion on the bar to turn the control arm down more raising the front end up.

Never late for a Tee time or wheelin with my buddies! Always ready for both!!!

Or you could join the group buy I am trying to get together to buy a set of beefier torsion bars for you Dak. They would be 20% to 30% stiffer and would not need to be tightened as much. Just a thought.
