Before I answer those questions I have a couple of my own. What type of 4x4 do you have? Do you use you 4x4 offroad or is it going to be just for show? What size wheel are you wanting to go with, chome, polished aluminum or steel? how much are you wanting to spend? Do you mind cutting a little bit of the front fender?

Well It is used for offroad about once a month, But it is just mud mainly no rocks or steep hills.I want to go with a 15x8, and either chrome or polished.I have $1,000 to spend. I dont know where to cut from, But if it is not the metal fender itself then I would have no problem cutting the plastic.

I have a 98 Durango, with a 3" body lift and trimming about 1" of fender(metal) I'm able to clear 35" MTR's. In your case I would recomend going with 33x12.50x15 either radial TSL Super Swampers or MTR's. The MTR's will last probably last you close to 3yrs if you keep them rotated and balanced and keep the allignment checked. On the other hand the TSL's will do better in mud but will be needing to be replaced after about 12-18 months. As far as wheels the best deal is on the Eagle Alloy wheels style 589 in a 15x8 these wheels come with a 3.25" or a 3.5" offset witch will stick the wheel and tire out of the fender about 1-2". Where do you live the reason I'm asking is I own a 4x4 shop in Kentucky.

I live in Illinois but would have no problem coming to Kentucky for a good job on my vehicle. What part of the state do you live in. I live in N.IL. If you trim the fenders then how do you keep them from rusting, and where exacty do you trim them at. I was looking at the TSL LTB, They come in a 31x11.50x15 and i am looking for a fair amount of tire outside of the wheel wells so the 3.50" backspacing would be great. And the tires are only $96 a tire. Do you have pics of any of the trucks that you have worked on or your durango.

I live in Louisville, as far as were to trim I trimmed the bottom of the fenders(front)only. Go up from the bottom of the fender about 6" and trim back to the bottom leaveing about 1-2" of fender. To keep them from rusting I used some sand paper to rough them up and then I got some grey primer, let that dry, rough it up again, and use some spray paint on it that matches the body color. I will be happy to send you some pics of the trucks or at least mine as soon as I can get them on the net. If you want you can email me at mudtoy98@aol.com Have you purchased your boddy lift yet?
