Hey Chris!

Thanks again for letting me try out those BFG All-Terrains. I threw them on after I got home and surprisingly they only rubbed a little here and there at first. After some triming I drove it around for a few miles and was fine till i got to a parking structure, combine the going uphill with hard turns and tons of rubbing began. I plan to cut off some of the front bumper and then it should be fine.

But MAN chris...you should see how good it looks!!!! I got at least a good 1" extra ground clearance with those tires!!!! I measured the other mud tires and they measured under 30.5", and the new ones measure 32.5", so i think i got an extra 1".

And the tires are SOOOOO much quieter than the radial muds.

And i want to apoligize for my rims that you got from me, i totally thought we were going to trade the tires, not the rims, so i wasn't planning on cleaning them cause i figured i would just clean them when i got back. If i had known you wanted my rims too, i would have cleaned them as well.

But anyways, thanks for letting me test them out, i'm almost positive they will work, so just figure what you want for them and we can try and seal the deal!

See ya!

I am glad they are working out!!! Are you having to do as much trimming as you expected?

Good thing you did not take the extra long trip and go to Hollister, it was closed for a event! Yikes!

Dj got the ball joints done in 3 hours both sides. I am just finishing uploading the video I made of it and will have it ready for viewing in a few hours.

DJ rules!!! In at 9 out at noon and we had to go to the auto parts store to get the 3/8 x 1" grade 8 bolts and a grinding wheel all in that time frame. I had my brother at the airport at 1230 and the 1 hour test drive was great. Wait til you see the video it is great.

I cant believe what my ball joints looked like.

So does this mean you are done with the GEN II rims? If so I will size my tires for those I think. Let me know!!!

Hey Chris,

Yeah, I'm all done with the 15X7 rims, you are welcome to them if you want them, they are all cleaned up and sitting in my storage.

I think i might need ball joints replaced also, what made you think you needed them? Were you hearing a noise or what tipped you off to it?

It ends up i don't think i will have to do that much cutting after all, i'm not totally sure yet, now with the bigger tires i see my caster/camber is off so i need to go get it aligned and then i will know for sure what i will need to cut.

Oh, one other question...do you have the center button that goes in the rims of the 16"s? It's the little center thing that has the dodge insignia on it. I saw that three of the rims are missing these, and i went to dodge and they told me it would be $20 A PIECE to have them replaced!!! Just wondering if you got them lieing around.

Thanks again, and i will let you know tomorrow how much trimming is needed.

Yeah I have them. I thought about that when I was unloading the tires. Lost most of mine!!!!

The boots in the ball joints were cracking. I just replaced them before they went bad. If you saw the video then you saw one was thrashed and one was not.

We will work out the getting the 15x7's back to me then.

Enjoy!

Ok Chris,

So it ends up aftre i removed the screws that are on the fender flare, almost all the rubbing went away, or at least the worst of it, if i trim about one inch off the front bumper on both sides, i'll be stylin!!

It looks SOOOO good now with the tires, my neighbor came up to me and asked me if i had lifted the truck, and then after i told him i merely put big tires on it and cranked the torsion bars, he told me he wanted to buy the truck off me for his daughter!! The best part is, i don't think i want to sell it now!!!!

Thanks again go out to you Chris, not only for helping me with my truck, but for helping me to really enjoy my truck too!!
