 Subject: Transfer case help.

I am in need of a transfer case for an '87 Dak 4x4. I was driving at about 60-65 mph and it felt like the transmission would disengage for about 5 secs and then clunk back in and ride like normal. I had the transmission rebuilt about 3 months ago and had the mechanic look into it for me. I also noticed a clunking noise coming from the underside when just idling or inching forward. He says when he pulled the transfer case off only a few drops of fluid came out. He is pretty sure it is shot, and no signs of any transmission related problems. I need to find a transfer case and kinda cheap. Any ideas??? local junkyards asking $650. if they even have one or can locate one. Any help or advice would be great.
