I'm not sure about the SSR but I'm running the Swamper LTBs. They are very similar to the SSRs, but have a little more tread depth. They do wear pretty fast (about 20,000 miles out of this set) and ride a little harsh. If you're looking for a more "streetable" tire I'd go with the BFG MT. That's what I run in the summer. I kind of like my truck to ride a little rough and have loud tires. Everyone knows you're coming and I get constant compliments on them. I had them in the snow 3 times this year. Nothing else I've had compares to them. 8" twice and the latest about 16" this week. Traction is in a word awesome. The last one (16") I was pushing snow up on the hood of the truck. I work at a job where I need to be there regardless of weather. I think the added expense of running these tires is like having an insurance policy and is definately worth all the looks and compliments.
