I am looking for a piece or sheet of diamond plating for a wind guard for my con-ferr roof rack. Does anybody know who or where i could get this from? Im located in Nor Cal and hopfully i can find sombody close because of the weight and shipping costs.

orchard has it. it is sold in sheets about 3ft square. i am not sure of the price. i am in santa cruz, and both the watsonville and capitola/41st stores have it.

Here in Southern MD they carry that stuff at the Lowes home and garden store, also in 3x3 sheets. I found it in the area near door stuff.

how would you cut diamond plate? I don't think a cut off wheel would be suffieceint. I've been trying to figure out a way to build a skid plate for a while now.

Try aluminumn. If were anything else, some guys(and gals) rigs would way a ton! I know Jeepers and FJ-40 folks are very fond of the stuff, ie. covering dents and rust holes in body panels. It cuts fairly easy, but can quickly fill the pores in any type of grinding tool.
