Sorry about the double post. I used the search engine too for this but found nothing.
What front differential do I have? 2002 4.7L 4x4 is my configuration. Also, the rear end is a 9 1/4 inch correct?

The 2002 come with the new corporate 8" independent axle up front and an 8.25" axle in the rear. Though the 8.25" sounds small, it's actually a pretty strong axle. You might have a 9.25" in the rear, some come with one, but not many, the best way to check is to go open your glove compartment and look at the specs sticker inside it. It will tell you everything from axle sizes to gears and vehicle weight and so on.
