Nice pics. How did you do you steering setup? That is the only thing holding me up and I need to figure it out soon cause I broke the front carrier, so I need to get it fixed somehow and I am hoping a solid axle. If you have any install pics then I would love to see them. Also where did you get your coilovers and for how much?

Thanks for all the information you can give.

My buddy has a shop Aedofab.com. We did it there.
As for price, I rather not say. All I paid for was parts, and I get a good discount on them. And it still cost me tons!!!
The front ia a Ford Dana 44 high pinion. Has chevy flattop knuckles. The rear is a 35 spline 9" that I made.
As for the steering, I cut all the dodge crap off, and put a jeep box on. Full ram setup from Howe.
But I need to move up to a 2" ram. In the rocks with the lockright in thr front, you still can't turn.
I also put a crossover steering setup on. This allowed me to move the front axle foward 6"
The coilovers are King. I get a price break on those to. I think I paid $450.00 for one, comes all setup with coils and all hardware.
Hope this helps.

How high is the lift....No idea. I wasn't going for the biggest truck out there. It sits to high for my liking, but I had no chose.
The tires are Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radial.
This is a daily driver, there do fine on the road, and off. No noise at all on the road, but then again, its hard to here over the exhaust!

My buddy has a shop where we make all kinds of bumper and custom suspensions.
As for the exaust, I did that also. Took about 2 days to get it where I wanted it.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Hey after I looked at your pictures some more it looks like you did something else to the rear suspesion. If you did then what did you do? It looks like a revolver shackle in the rear. Also do you have any more pictures of the steering setup, that is the one thing holding me up right now.

thanks

In the rear I have a 35 spline 9". I put full size chevy leaf springs, moved both srping hangers ,and did a shackle flip.
Tires a 35"
As for the RTI, don't know we never measured, thats a 30 degree ramp, and you can see where it used to end, they extened it for all the buggys!!!

HEY Tom my buddy Jon and I are thinking along the same lines as you and your gang...Check this out we are wondering what you guys think...Coilover/twin traction beam set up on the front of his dakota this will allow up to aprox. 16''/17'' of wheel travel, we are not looking for big lift just movement (we are of the white trash prerunner persuasion) thanks THE BIG "S" MAN

Tom, Hey the truck looks great and i really like the exhuast, how much are the the king coil-over's normally? How much work did it take to prepare the axle to work with the coil-over's? I want to do the same thing to mine but i'm planning on building mine to compete in Four Wheeler's Top Truck Challenege, but that is a ways away. If you could let me know about my questions i'd really appreciate it, thanks.

I think the coilovers run around $550.00 This is for the 2.5" that I have.
As for the axle, it is all hand made! All the brackets on there I made.
As for the top truck, if your not running 44, you won't get far. I though about that to, need a Dana 60!
I'm going to start work on my rock buggy to compete in. The Dodge will be a toy!!!

Thanks Tom, no i'm building it to hold up to Top Truck's challenges whether i actually have the guts to enter it is a whole nother story. I'm not waisting my time i'm going straight to a Dana 60 front and in the rear i'm torn between the 14-bolt corp. and the Dana 60. i'll get it figured out eventually, but i still got a ways to go, hey Tom if you could take some pics of your front suspension components and brackets that could really help me. I'd appreciate it alot.

john dude, i hate you but i love your truck! J/K!! hey man forget a dana 60 dude. go with currie's front 9" that way all you need is one gear set up for those long rocky trips when things start breaking. first off dude, have you thought about doing a coil over for the rear also (that would be TRICKED THE F**CK OUT MAN!!!!)? second, what type of gear box did you from jeep (year, make, & model)? third and most importantly (to me, haha), ok man i'm trying to bulid a prerunner and i don't mean a poser type i mean hopfully a full blown out race ready dakota. and i'm trying to use every advantage that i can to cut the price down. so here's my question how could your freind a 2.5" dual rate coilover with reservoir and coils that has 16" and 14" (note that is 2 different shocks) of shaft travel and a 2.5" triple stage bypass with reservoir with 16" of shaft travel. any answers would greatly help here. thank man and awsome truck.
