Nice! What was the damage?

Hey, how does that S-Charger work??? Is it worth the 4K?

Does it void your warranty?? I was looking at the website, and it looks awesome, but I don't want to void my extended warranty or anything...

It's supposed to not use the boost during normal driving, but then go nuts when you floor it, is that about right? Did you notice it effecting your normal driving gas milage? (Even though I know I'd be flooring it all the time If I had it!!).

Lastly, did you install it yourself? I would assume the documentation is pretty good, and with that kind of stuff, it's probably only possible to put it in one way...and I'm an engineer, so I like to think i'm semi-mechanically inclined!

Thanks-

Mark,

The s/c was more than worth the 4k. I dont think i'll ever own another car or truck without some sort of forced induction. :)

It does void your warrenty. But as far as i understand, only stuff that has to do with your drive terrain. Everything else should be fine. I got the 75k mile warrenty, and lost it at 10k when i got the blower. Oh well, you win some, and you lose some. :)

The boost is controlled off of throttle posistion. Not rpm (well, anything above 2000 rpm, and it can create boost). So if you drive easy, you dont ever have to go into boost. Hell, i can get on the freeway with out going into boost, thats with 4000 rpm shifts with my auto. It didnt effect my normal driving, as far as i can tell. I tend to think of the gas peddle as an "on/off" switch, so im usually in boost. :)

I did do the install my self. The manual KB sends with the kit is really detailed. But be sure to read ahead, there's always some spots where you can do things before others to make it easier. Im pretty sure you could do the install your self in one or 2 days (givin ya a little slack incase you have to go get tools or something).

Anyways, i hope i was a little help. If you have any other questions, just email me. Also check out some of the pics i have of the blower on my site.

That's cool,

I'll probably do it eventually, but not for a little while. Hopefully the price will drop a bit with time, like most things.

Doesn't seem too bad to put in, the "Trimming" and "cutting" scare me a bit, but as long as it's internal like cutting a hole for the air cleaner, it's no biggie.

Thanks for the info, yet another toy to start saving for!!
