here's the full skinny...a buddy of mine does fabrication. i pretty much tell him what i want, and he goes nuts with it. he can't really mass produce these cause he built it ON my truck no blue prints, just my desires and a good imagination. all he does is baja vehiles, so the end-all goal is to have the first fully baja dakota. all thats really left is the suspension which he's doing FOR ME at the price of 4000.00. anyone else and his going rate for this work is 6000.00. nice to have friends in high places. If anyone wants to shell out the 700.00 bucks for another one and isn't wasting his time with talk, that will be how much he'll do it for. He's doing a buddies of mine as well with the same set up. and he could probably make 2 at once.

i know where that is.....yeah, actually escondido....the light bar and skidplate, no lights...yeah nice price huh? ......yeah...yeah...yeah...dunno, probably 6k. lol hope that answered some of your questions dude. as for the front, its going all the way down to the frame, so he can put the mounting brackets about an inch forward for better clearance. my baby should be going under the knife next week or so. whats the stats on your truck? i dunno if you wanna be this far south, but me and another guy are starting S.D.O.R.D. Like the light bar/skid plate combo, shipped to NY would add another $200-300 clams so that sucks and I have a body lift that would monkey the mounting up(I know, I know you hate body lifts:). Got any pics of the front end with more lighting to actually see what it looks like on either side of the skid plate? I assume it will take a hard nose hit since your buddy builds baja vehicles, is the skid made outta aluminum and the bars from steel powdercoated? I am actually interested and have the money to spend if I can make it work once it arrives but would need to see how it mounts, etc. to accomodate the 3" body lift. Thanks!

you're right on with the prodution materials, i'll get some closeups of the mounts, but i'll tell you how it goes. if you look where the steel part of your bumper mates up to the frame thats where this thing mounts up, the stock steel bumper was removed, and the mounts completely cover the two frame beams. i'll get you some photos tonight.

What is his apt#? LOL. IMO, whether it is him or not, really shouldn't be that specific on the public boards with other's addresses unless they post it themselves, to many nuts and thieves out there:)

Oh, the real reason why I came back onto this thread, I like the Hanson, but don't want the front end droop. So the pre-runner bumper that dweishaar might fit the bill if I can fab it to work with the body lift, it only needs to be moved up 3" right? How hard can that be?:) I would probably take mine non-powdercoated so I could fab the alterations and then have it powdercoated locally, probably would cost me more in the long run but at least it would be done right. Speaking of that, how much less for the set-up raw? Thanks again Daniel.

sorry guys, no close ups today, no good light and we worked a good 14 hour day....but anyway thanks for all the great feedback, i'm loving the way it looks. but if you guys like that...you're gonna love this. wife gave me the green light today and it is done the truck goes in for a full front and rear longtravel on the 4th. hahahahaha spent 3000.00(ouch) on shocks and parts to fab the new uppers and lowers, as well as make it so that there are no more ball joints, using uni-balls very sweet. my fab guy says that he's gonna take everything down to the frame and work his way out. moving the mounting points and inch or so forward, and he says the end all should give me about a 6" wider wheel base AT LEAST. very cool. estimated travel with the forward shocks is 14"-15" i got FOX 2 stage coil overs(f'in HUGE) and the truck should be done by the 9th. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!! as for the prerunner skidplate and lightbar setup, i talked to him today about that, he said 700.00, if you want his #, send me an e-mail.

stupid,I sure hope that wasnt a new truck that
you are destroying there,That would be a good
project for a wrecker truck not a new one,you
got more $ than brains man.Your truck will not
hold up in a baja run at all, takes more than
just a suspension but I guess your baja
mainly consists of hoping curbs at the mall, lol

as soon as our SDORD site is up, one of the first things i'm putting on is a link to my jump video(all this truck as is now) i'd say it's survived pretty damn well so far. obviously DMX is a complete retard and doesn't realize that all pro baja trucks are Chevy 1500's and Ford 150's thats right FULL SIZE TRUCKS. if i put what would be acceptable for a full size long travel on my truck that weighs 1000 or more less than a full size....guess i'd be sitting pretty f*cking good wouldn't I? DMX is probably the kind of moron who wants to drop a 4x4 or put 3 wheel spacers on his axel so his wheels stick completly outside of his fenders. Guess what DMX? just cause i have money to blow on my toys and what i love to do, don't try to make your sorry ass feel better at other peoples expence. F*cking dickbump....now i'm all worked up.
