Subject: 33"s on 3" suspension lift

i have a '97 4x4 5.2l 'Kota, and i want to know what is the best and also cheapest 3" suspension lift. and , if i do this, can i comfortably put 33" tires on it, and, will the lift cause any un wanted problems other than lower mpg and less cornerin ability, i eventually want to make my Dak a show truck b/c there arent any kotas round burlington, nc that are lifted and fixed up, thanks for all replys!!

the only 3" suspension lift for the 97-99 dakota is the rancho lift. You can clear 33's as long as you crank the torsion bars I believe. The only other quality suspension lift on the market for your year is the 5.5" tuff country suspension lift. You can see both the rancho and tuff country lift through links on the "Lancaster Dakota cruise in" thread on the general board. BlueTwister has the rancho lift and I have the tuff country lift and we're both running 33's.

i have a 3" suspension lift.......look at what i had to do to clear them. you'd probably only be safe with 31x1050's at best, no trimming. 33's you'd have to do what i did and remove your front plastic bumper (keep the metal underneath) and trim out EVERYTHING in your wheel well. trust me. if you need more photos, e-mail me.

if you say so...as far as i knew, 3" was 3" and 33" was 33" and we all have the same body style, but again my experience is 2wd.

A stock 4x2 sits about 3 inches lower than a stock 4x4.

'99 White CC SLT 5.2L V8 4x4 Auto 9" Lift 35x12.5x15 ProComp Xterrains....plus more.
