you can run 33's no problem. You can run 35's if you crank the torsion bars and if you don't do any offroading. If you do with 35's your probably going to chew your fenders and tires up. I believe 4wdakota has all the pics.

33's is what I'm running on 6" of lift. When I go off-road and max out while turning I can rub just alittle on the plastic in my fender well.

One of these days I'm actually going to borrow some 35's from a friend and drive threw a parking lot to see what happens.

I'd stick with 33's though.

Thanks, what brand do you have? I'm thinking about buying Mickey Tompsons or some BFG super swampers.

BFG super swampers? I musta missed those in their tire lineup. hehehe

I wouldn't recommend Mickeys ... at least not the Baja belteds. I hear the Baja Claws are much more road worthy.

Knobbys truck will not be able to run 35" tires. The only way it would work is if he only wanted to go straight.

Stick with 33" tires. Youll be happy with them and no problems.

I would say stick with 33's also...I think our lifts are little bit different Knobby(no fun intended) because I have had no rubbing problems whatsoever and I keep eyeing up the wheel wells for 35's. 4wdakota has pics of both a durango and dakota running 35's with the suspension lift alone. If you really want to run 35's you might want to pic up a body lift too. There's also the possibility of putting a 1" block in the rear and cranking the torsion bars even more to get an extra inch of lift but you are REALLY, REALLY, going to have a rough ride if you do that. I wouldn't recommend it but I figured I'd give you all the options.

I think the wheel base is actually shorter because the back side of my front tire is closer to the back of the front fender well.

I am rubbing on part of this lift but it's nothing that will ever cause a problem.

Hey Knobbyman,

I know you have had bad troubles with AIM and that lift they screwed with you on, but I was wondering if all their products are crap or just that kit? They have 2" front lift springs for $120 and that is a lot cheaper than Fabtech wants for theirs. Should I just go for the Fabtech front springs($150)and ProComp shocks, these AIM springs and ProComp shocks, or just get the Fabtech 2inch kit with their shocks? Any help is appreciated. Also, with either of these combos, will I need an add-a-leaf kit to keep the truck level, or will this level it out? BTW, my truck is 2wd. Thanks!

Sorry .. I've been really busy..

All there products suck. Not to mention the customer service sucks also. I couldn't get anything done with them. They we're really great all the way up until they got my credit card #. Then they turned into pricks.

Personally I'd go w/ Fabtech & Pro-Comp Shocks.

BTW Texas I'm not sure where I'm going to be this weekend :-p don't know if you got my other message or not. But call me anyway :-)
