when i trun my wheel all the way to one side or the other i hear a very bad popping sound now i dont know what it could be but it is going too the shop again this thur (8/23)i'm going to tell them about it but i think someone out there in dak land might know what it is. thanks

I have the same thing s many other dak owners. Your bumper stops on the underside of your upper control arm are bottoming out. Welcome to dakotaland. Well that was my thing anyway. Amongst other front end issues.

My 86.5 nissan used to do the same thing....got used to it...never had a problem with over 235000miles.

Could be bad ball joints cuz i have that popping sounds, followed by a real nice alignment $&#@-up :)
