I've just plain had it with my Mickeys. They're going on the chopping block to be replaced by BFG Mud T/A's.

Words to the wise ... Mickey Thompsons are NOT good road tires. :o)~

What size BFG's are ya goin' with?

As I type, the tire shop is mounting my 275/70 BFG's on 16x8 Centerline Galaxy II rims.

I think you used to run this size before your lift without any problems?

Can't wait till 5:00 !

Blizzard,

I don't know how you feel about Sears but they are having a sale on tires 33x12.50x15" A/T's are $17 off ($129) till 8/7/02. Check with your local store to see if they will discount the M/T's. They carry the M/T's, they just don't show them online.

I ordered my A/T's a day before they went onsale and now they are taking forever to come in. Oh well I pissed and moaned so they will give me the sale price though!

Gonna go with the standard 33x12.50/15. I did check into the Sears deal, but they were still about $50 higher for 4 tires. I almost was gonna go with A/T's but I've had them before and thought I'd give the Muds a try.

I'd go with the Xterrain, buy 3 get one free deal, but somebody went and got everyone stirred up about that great tire ... and I gotta be a LITTLE different! hehehe

Just kiddin' Hawk!! ;o)~

Yeah I still like them. I wasn't tring to be sarcastic although it kinda sounded that way. I have about 10K miles on the tires now and there is about 80% tread left. Not bad concidering I do mild off-roading about once a week. A lot is highway driving which hasn't shown to be that bad. I had both BFG A/Ts and M/Ts and they were almost equal in wear time. A/Ts will last a little longer but everything depends on your driving style I guess.

the 305s mt bfgs are going for 200$ a tire i believe, i'm not sure if that's more or less than the other prices you guys have gotten...
and the 33 12.50 rim 15s are mts are giong for 154$ and the AT's are going for 137$
i dunno why there is a big price difference between the 305s and the 33 12.50s but that's it..

Got my Dak back last night. I love the BFG KO's. I can't believe how quiet they are on the road. The original equip wranglers made more noise than these.

baja radial claws rule...no loud noise compared to swampers or any brand of mud tire. I drive 99% road miles. I have noticed they produce way less road noise until 55 mph than most mud terrains. They begin producing a mild hum around 55mph but not mush more than the noise of the stock tires. I have been truly pleased and suprised by these tires especially with them having such and aggressive tread. Also their is no vibration produced in the steering at any speeds.

Kevster - Yes, no lift. I just cranked the torsion bars about 3/4", and i wouldn't have had to do that to clear them. My new rims have same 5-1/2" backspacing as stock, so that helps.
