put it in neutral for 4-Lo, for 4-Hi neutral or park doesn't matter.....
wait for the light to turn solid and not blinking over your choice to know it's on.....

I don't have to put it in neutral to switch from 2WD to 4HI. I have a 5spd and if I stay at a constant speed (I only do this when below 35mph), I can just flip the dial to 4HI and it engages just fine. But I do have to come to a complete stop and put it in neutral in order to go from 4HI to 4LO.

yeah i believe 4-hi you can do it while rolling just a bit or going at a slow speed but it may be bad for the truck you can break something i dunno, i'd rather just stop and switch....i tried reading them manual but the manual said nothing about it...

I agree w/ Joey.. If I have a choice I do it while stoped.. Otherwise if I'm already rolling slow.. I just do it in motion.

4-low you have to be in Neutral.
