Yes, you can modify the stock airhat-- if you have a Dremel or similar. I did mine at one time by cutting out the metal internal support and grinding out the "divider" made of plastic. 360 Airintakez also offers a really nice airhat for $50.00-- it's the same as the one in their intake kits for our trucks.
