does any company make a fiberglass hood that looks stock. I would like to get some of the weight off of my front end. Does anybody have any weight measurements of stock hoods to fiberglass?

I dont know if this helps any but anyway.
AAR told me that thr R/T hood for my truck would knock 30 lbs plus off my front end.

Hey I got a idea Greg. Why not convert your truck to a mid engine design. That would solve the weight issue.

I'm sure going to try! I had such a good time down there... too bad you couldn't make it to Ennis that night. I met a couple of people from this board and moparchat - Tom Slick offered me his truck to drive!! Y'all are a lot of fun to visit!
My friend Zaurusman (Tibor, you met him at Speedtweaks) is coming up here for a visit in June, so I'm going to let him drive my truck in that Canadian Dodge Truck Shootout at Cayuga. I hope his times aren't better than mine - this will be a first for me.
CW, too bad you don't live closer, that is going to be a lot of fun, with people from 3 forums participating!

That's cool Greg! Keep us posted on your turbo project - good for you that you have the smarts to do this yourself. I am definitely interested in a future turbo upgrade, but due to my limited mechanical ability it will most likely be the Speedtweaks kit.

I totally understand broke! I am still dealing with lawyers trying to get the deed to the house transferred to my name - and pay off my ex for his share. So, mods for me are ebay deals and putting away my nickels and dimes for the hopes of a future turbo :)
