Subject: Guys with air...controllers & Gauges?

I will be installing bags on just my front end for now. I was wondering which gauges I should use? I will probably not go with digital, do I need two dual needle gauges for just my front, one dual needle gauge, or 2 single needle gauges?...kinda confused lol. Also I have seen these remote controllers, are they any good or should I just go with the clear yellow switch box?

The guages depend on how specific u want the readings to be. Since you're just bagging the the front for now. you could go with 1 dual needle guage: each needle will tell u how much pressure is in each bag (right and left). if u plan on bagging the back later, you can add another dual needle guage to see the pressure in each bag. Some people (for some reason, prolly cuz it's cheaper) go with just 1 dual needle guage OR 2 single needle guages, and each needle(guage) shows presure in just the front or the back. As for the switches, it's pretty much what u like. i dont know if u kind is more dependable than another. Hope this helps.

it also depends on what your valve setup is..... If you just goin for up and down for the front.... a single gauge would work. Side to side.... might wanna get a dual needle gauge for each bag.

Then again I seen most people run without a guage for there bag at all and just a guage for there tank. Depends on you flavor I guess.

I personally like knowing what my pressure is at the tank and bags AT A GLANCE so I got 3 single gauges, 2 on the a piller for front and back and one tucked away for the tank

Ok heres another question. I think I would probably go with the 1 dual needle gauge for the both bags, but I do plan on valves for side to side motion as well. Also I want to check whats in the tank, would the one single needle, and one dual needle gauges work for all that? THANKS guys

That'd be perfect. if u just bag the front, the dual needle guage can show each bag, and the single show the tank. I gotta see what that looks like: side to side with just the front? i wonder if it'd work. well, good luck and have fun with it!

Thanks man, I got the idea from my buddy with a sonoma, its awesome. I will most like get air on the back next summer. I wont be notching though, most like just a 5" drop with bags to lift it and lower it.

Doesn't look good Ufdakota...I just did it with mine and it look like you broke something :-)

I finally got all the leaks out and she rides excellent. I broke a shock mount already though...had to reweld it. The roads are bad up here right now, were in the middle of winter with -15 to -25 degree days and even colder nights, so the roads are destroyed from frost. I'm not gonna drive her much untill spring...

Dillegm, I DIDN'T TELL U TO TRY IT!!! 8-)
But good to hear u got the leaks and it rides good. i don't know if it's a very good sign that u already broke the shock mount weld. it might be why i've never seen the shocks relocated like u have em. But Hopefully won't break again :). Hit some switches for me! Peace

Dude, get some penetration with them welds. What size welder are you using. Turn it up to weld through some thick ass iron. Are you using shielding gas? You should be able to see a line on the opposite side of the frame from where you welded. You can weld them mounts on there so it'll take a torch to blow them off.
