Subject: Lowering 92 2WD

I have a 1992 Dakota with regular cab,2WD, 5.9L, manual tranny. I have a set of 2inch drop spindles and I should be getting a set of 5inch leaf springs to lower the rear. So it will be a 2/5 drop. But usually there is a 2inch difference from the front and rear drops, and I have 3inches. How can I even this out? I want the truck to be level or even a little raised in the rear. Any ideas? Should I get lowering spring for the front also?

Thanks
Dan

A pair of either belltech or western chassis 2" lowering springs will bring u to a 4/5, thats probably your best bet, close enough and not that noticeable that rear is an inch higher.

Well the Eibachs are 3 and 1/2 inch drop but I assume the weight of the engine is going to take that half inch. What I am really worried about is the rear end. Should I just use the Western Chassis shackles and hangers or should I get new leaf springs? I would rather not use blocks. Does a company make leafs to lower the back for a Gen II?

Thanks
Dan

I have a 92 dak with a 5.2. I lowered her 4/4.eibachs up front(supposedly 2.3") for 2" and western chassis 2" spindles. also w.c. shackle hangers and c section. I think that the rear springs sagged but the truck is level and low. but as well AiM has a arms that are adjustable and supposedly good for 3".
