Subject: JBA Headers with a 3" front drop
IP: Logged

Message:
Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone else has come across this too. I was inspecting the engine compartment while trying to trouble shoot a misfire. I noticed that the passenger side header was very close to my upper control arm. When I touched the pipe closes to this control arm, I found out that due to the travel of the suspension, the pipe was dented pretty good. Luckily it did not pierce the piping. I've got the 5.2L with a front drop of 3" via coils. Has anyone else noticed this too?

yeah, i didnt know what the ticking was in my engine compartment, but when i changed my headgaskets, i found that my controll arm gashed into my header. i took a dewalt grinder to the A-arm, and welded up the header. works now!

Hey Eric,

How did you managed to repair the headers from that huge dent?
