They won't take back these "defective" aluminum blocks because they cracked while they were being used. They said they can only take em back if they were defective BEFORE I put em on. This is just stupid! I would've noticed a giant crack in the block while I put em on. If this thing cracked while it was being used how it was meant to be used, I'd call that defective. And the fact that the package says, "For most cars, trucks, vans, and SUV's with leaf-springs," and that my truck would fall into the category of MOST trucks, I am gonna raise hell with them tomorrow after I get my stock u-joints back on.

It sounds like you got some bad blocks.
I bought some from Pep Boys myself several months ago, but the U bolts would not fit and I returned them. They were really cheap (like $20-25).
I wound up using Western Chassis shackles and am real satisfied with them ($70-80 +/-).
I would think that Pep Boys would realize that they sold you a defective part and would rightfully refund your money. When you go back to Pep Boys be cool and calm and logical. This works much better than raising h3ll with them.
AND hey, if you don't get your money back look at the bright side... You didn't get killed when the cheap pieces of $hit broke.
I always say that is better to be able to bitch about something than to be dead. (Well, actually that's the first time I've ever said that, but you do get it)

for what its worth, ive heard horror stories about those aluminum blocks breaking while use on our trucks, if you can, i would say go up to a 4x4 store, and get some steel ones!

Sorry I haven't posted but I just got outta jail. You see the very next day I drove up there like a bat outta hell and hit an old lady that was in my handicap spot. I jumped out and ran inside and hit the first "pepboy" I saw. I then explained I wanted to take these cheesy blocks back. By then the police had me in handcuffs and would you believe that the guy told me all I had to do was show them my receipt. Geez, I really learned my lesson this time.

you spent 20 dollars on a set of lowering blocks a major contact point in the susp and it failed and you wanna blam some one else most blocks fail because the install is bad not the block you wanted to cut corners and got what you deserved idiot
