Going to purchase either 18's or 20's Just wondering the sizes of tires and the width of the rims, offset etc. in order to accomplish this without rubbing. or should i just stick with 18's.
Also i understand i will have to notch the frame at least 2" as i do some towing in the winter.

thanks

a 245/40/20 on a 20x8" rim with about 6" of backspacing should work fine

when towing, throw the stock rims and tires back on, because they have a higher load index than the dubs

Injection is nice, but i'd rather be blown.

Thanks for the info Eric. Your very helpful. Just wondering if you recomend taller bump stops for the front. I have heard that on the DJM kits there too small and cause it to hit. I thought about air shocks for the back, but i hear they give you a really stiff ride so i might as well get the frame notched. Also i have dorsetech shock. I read somewhere that you had the same ones. How is the ride?

and would 20x8.5" rims work cuz is that the most popular size 20?

Thanks so much,
Ryan

i havent heard about the bumpstop problem. i guess if you have a problem, you can always add them later.

notching the frame would be the best thing for you in the rear. you will need it for towing, and if you want to go lower in the future you can.

i have the doschtech, and i am verry happy with them, and it rides almost stock. they have been on for 3 1/2 years, and i think they might be going in another 6 months. i am thinking of replacing them with the bilstens that come with the hotchkis kit. if they endup not fitting, i will go back to the doschtech's.

you can do a 8 1/2" rim with about 6 1/4" backspacing....what kind of rims are you getting?

Hey Eric thanks for the info. For the 20 x8.5 rims you would recomend the same tires as the 20x8? The rims iam lookin at right now are Limited (http://www.tire-wheel.cc/LimitedAlloy/lim.html) personally i like the 706's. Some store by my place said he could hook me up with a new set of 18's around 2g Can. and for 20's about $2400 Can. Thats a ballpark figure we worked out. Oh ya thats including tires. I should be finding out more info later on this week.

Thanks,
Ryan
