What u r looking at is is Ebay item #290129888180. it is a 1 owner, Magenta (purple), 1997 Dodge Dakota club cab, 131”wb, sport package, 2wd, 5spd manual trans, 5.2 (318 cid) multiport fuel injection, factory 3.55 sure grip. 43355 miles (mostly highway). I ordered this in Oct of 96 and received it the beginning of Jan. I tried to find out how rare this thing is. Magenta was only used in 97. Every where I go I get asked who painted the truck. Everyone thinks it’s a custom color. I have been too many car shows and events and have only seen one in this configuration. Most of this color I’ve seen out west and their 4x4. I’m sure it’s a rare vehicle and may even be worth something in 20 or 30 years. Vehicle is garage kept not driven in winter. I am an ASE certified technician for the past 11 years and all maintenance and fluids have been changed when their supposed too if not before. Most of the miles are highway miles. I haven’t driven it in almost a year. I have babied this vehicle since I’ve owned it. I hate to get rid of it but times are tough and I have one to many projects so unfortunately it has to go. The front bumper has a few rock chips in it. I painted it once but its inevitable when highway driving. The under body is still new no rust any where. The bed does have scratches after all it is a truck. I was gunna have it coated but never got around to it. It has a clarion sound system but I never really finished it as you can see. I just through it together so I could have tunes. I have all the original seatbelts and seats for the rear. I just replaced the crank sensor last year cause it had a little rust on the tip from sitting to long and was acting up. I also changed the oil before I put it away.
I am looking for a crew cab, ¾ or 1 ton dually truck or suburban. Something EFI with over drive. I would be willing to make a deal and work something out with one or both vehicles. I also have a 77 BLAZER up for bids also.

If it was not purple or magenta I would buy it. Great setup though.
'97 RC V6, 5spd, soon to be V8, 5spd!
Maybe not a 5-speed, but an automatic will work.
