Do lowering blocks for my 97 5.2 need to be tapered? I milled them to an inch and a half already but I've read they should be tapered to ensure rearend alignment and to prevent premature U-joint wear. If so how much taper? 2-5 degrees or what?

I do not have mine tapered, and have not had any u-joint wear. I also drive mine rough.

'97 RC V6, 5spd, soon to be V8, 5spd!
Maybe not a 5-speed, but an automatic will work.
