Subject: 1st time drop info?

I am wanting to drop my dak. I would probably go with a 2/3. What is recommended and what should I look for. Are there any problems with bottoming out? When I go over a speed bump now, there is something that hits the speedbump. I know dropping the truck, I will avoid speedbumps at all costs! Any info for a first timer would be great!

A 2/3 drop would be nice, I went with a 3/4 drop on my 97 dakota and I love it. I c-notched my rear though do to bottoming out over bumps, there was very little clearance between the axle and the frame. Adding ground force shocks all the way around helped the ride tons as well. If you stick with the 2/3 you should have enough room in the rear to go without the c-notch. With any drop always stay away from speed bumps and if you live in a state like me (Wisconsin) watch out for the potholes and shi##y roads!

Yes I know what you mean! I am next door in Minnesota. We don't believe in fixing potholes. We have a truck that goes around spraying some tar and rock in the hole and let the drivers pack it in. Meanwhile when you drive over it, the tar and rock do jump off the ground and stick to the side of your truck! It's fun to clean. Also thanks for the info
