 Subject: 01 jack question

i just bought an 01 quad cab dakota and the manual says its under the rear seat,but theres no compartment there..unless someone replaced the carpet and didn't cut it out.can someone let me know.i'd hate to cut the carpet and no jack be there ....thanx

it should be strapped under the rear passenger sided seat. i have a 2000 quad cab and the interior is a little different but the placement of the jack should be the same. and for jack who?, if you dont have anything useful to ad, then dont post at all.
