I just wanted to say that I recently added a Hotchkis suspension to my Dak along with 18x8 rims (with 5.5" of backspacing) and 255/55/18 tires. There is no rubbing on tight turns nor severe bumps. Plus with 5.5 inches of backspacing I don't need flares with these tires ... which are the same width as the stock 255/65/15.
I'll get some better pics soon, but here's a couple. And no my mind isn't made up about the running boards (which serve a very pratical purpose in protecting the sides of my Dak).

Yep, they're American Racing chrome Nooze series. I bought them off eBay a while back when they were still listed as new on AR's web site. Now they don't even list them for Dakota's. I don't know if they discontinued this series for our Daks or just don't have them listed anymore.

I've only tested it a couple times because I still haven't completed the system (still working on the component door speakers), but yes, it definitely can bump :-) I should have the door panels/front speakers done very shortly and then it will be time to fine tune everything.
And as for the paint gun ... sorry everything was done with spray cans and no I'm not done yet either (insert wicked laugh here) :-)
