OK guys don't laugh too hard.
I would like to drop my 98 DAK 4X4 about 2 inches in front and 3/4 in back.
I have a 01 Durango R/T that is about that much lower so I believe it is possible to have a lower 4X4.
None of the parts houses admit to having a kit that will work.
All constructive ideas appreciated.

check out www.djmsuspension.com they had a kit to lower the durango 4x4 it may work for the dakota give them a try

I have talked to DJM several times about my truck. They don't admit to having a kit that will work. The Durango kit is special order, ie you have to remove your spindle and send it to them for some machining work. They don't recommend it for my DAK.
I am finding a lot of posts on this subject on this site. I have just not had time to read all of them yet. Hopefully there is a source or good idea in there.

Use lowered chevy shackles in the rear. This will give you a 1-2 drop. You may need to install two washers a side between the truck leaf sping hanger and the new shackle. Then you can lower the torsion bars in the front about an inch. It can be done but dont recommend it.
