please clarify, how much? Also, what improvment did the sway bar do for you (on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being like F1)

i want around 350+shipping, the sway bars made the truck turn more flat, which was nice, but you can't rate it because the truck is lowered at the same time. with the kit it handled great. no joke i took hard turns at 50+mph without the backend sliding. if your worried, you can buy the sway bars separate from hotchkis

a bit too steep for me right now (conversion to Canadian and over the border shipping puts it way out of my price range).

good to hear that the sway bar makes a diff. I havnt given up on finding one that I can afford (I can always lower the truck myself but designing and bending a sway bar is too difficult with garage tools)

thanx

I just bought a 98 dakota and want to lower it 2" in the front and about 3" in the rear. Don't know much about lowering kits for trucks....how was the ride with the front coils and leaf springs? Was it bouncy in the rear? Let me know. I'm interested in buying. By the way, how old are they? Thanks

Brianly...

I don't have anything for sale, but I can tell you about the Hotchkis 2/3 suspension. Both the front and rear use drop-springs, and even without the sway bars, I think that this kit is the best out there.

The spring rates are perfect - especially if your tires don't tuck. The ride is firm - not harsh, and the cornering is not to be believed.... like no other truck I've ever driven (or ridden in).

I don't have the sway bars, just the coils, leafs, and Koni shocks. I honestly don't see any reason to use the sways... at least for me.

I used to call my factory ride "driving a Buick with a bed", and I have buddies who went with the (less expensive) kits that use hangers/shackles and control arms, but there's no comparison.

If ya really want the best of both (handling and ride comfort, I recommend nothing less than Hotchkis.
