I lowered a '92 RC I once had with 2" lowering spindles and 1" drop springs for a 3" front end drop. Spring steel 1/4" plates were stacked in the rear.

many ways, I like cheap & easy. what I did on my 4cy '91 RC:

front: cut 1 - 1.5 coils from yours (or swap to 4cyl springs) . Summit sport truck drop shocks worked for me but stock shocks should be ok for this moderate drop

raar: lowering blocks 1, 2, or 3" available. special dakota blocks have a slight angle machined in them to correct driveshaft geometry. I used plain 3" blocks and now have some harmonic noise now but not too bad. oops. my 3" blocks only allow me to carry about 500 pounds before they bottom out I added air shocks to raise it back up when I want to carry more- works like a champ

handles great now ! looks good too.. get some 99+ 15x7 sport wheels and 235/60 front 235/70 rear tires .. see results here:

i went 4/6 with mine. spindles and coils up front from western chassis (great company) and the shackle hanger kit for the rear and sagged springs. i run r/t rims and tires and if i have about 600 or so in the rear i rub but thats because of the fat tires 275-50-17. cuttin the springs is cheap and easy but imo the ride is horrible. if your removin te springs get a cheap set of lowerin springs or go to www.sporttruckdirect.com and see what they have
