well, your stock tire is 265/70/16 which is roughly 30.6 x 10.4 inches. so as long as you dont go with a tire bigger than that you wont have to worry about the rear end gears and speedo calibration.

i came up with 245/45/22 which is about 30.6 x 9.64 inches. also, 255/40/22 which is about 30 x 10 inches.

best i can tell you is that. im not sure if you'll be able to find tires that size, tho.

im not sure of the back spacing, but i would buy rims with the same back spacing as the stock ones.

good luck

-steve

I know that all of this talk is about Dakotas but do you know if the same thing is possible on a '02 Ram (crank down the torsion bars and leafs in the back? It seems to me that the back should be no problem. I have not had any luck with the front though. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
