Subject: turning radius help with djm control arm

i have a 2000 dakota and i got the djm 3/5 kit. my turning radius is severely lessened even after allignment. does anybody know how to fix this? help is greatly appriciated.

the only way to fix the turning radius problem was to yank em off.

horrible, djm should put a disclaimer of what crap this kit it.

i followed their "advice" to the T and got toxic shocks all around. what a joke. i could feel the paint as i drove over a crosswalk.

I have a DJM kit on my 01 r/t and yes they should have a disclaimer if you have camber on the front your top control arms need to be slotted and that is about 3 hours with the labor and if you know enough you can do it youself with a grinder. That should help for the mean time unless you want to change the kit.

on the lower control arm there is a little tab. this needs to be grinded down. dont remove the whole thing as this will let your tires rub frame. grind and check for clearance often...a little grind goes a long way...

Turn your steering wheel all the way to the right.Look at the left arm.You'll see a little tab,along the edge, keeping the spindle from touching the arm.Should see a lil wear if you often go stop to stop.Grind that down and youll get some turning radius back.
