ok my question is,

i have a 99 dak r/t with doug thorley headers. im puttin 2500 bags on the front. will the stock control arms clear the pass side header or do i need new control arms? for people with bagged R/T's what have you done with the rear end suspension. i know a 4 link is the choice but is there anyother options?

Are you talking about the upper arms? I can see those having a problem before the lower arms. If the uppers hit. You can notch the arms, buy tubalar uppers, or just rip those headers off and maybe sell them to me

As far as the rear..... do you want to put the bags over the axles or over the links. You could triagle link the rear ..... but the tank has to go somewhere

yeah i am talking about the uppers. umm about the headers i have way to much money and work into that motor to sell them but i know where to get them cheap. yeah the bags are gonna be mounted on the axle. i have a bridge step notch for it. im just worried that if i monoleaf it ill just bust the leaf in half. ive thought about a parralel 4 link.

Ya..... Lookin at mine, the uppers "should" clear. Just run your line through the frame instead of straight up.

For the rear, I'd defently wouldn't got with a mono leaf. You will axle rap the bajesus and now you might as well have gotten a 6er (yew!). Its just a bad setup just waiting to snap on you. Here is what I found with trial and error with my own truck
A. A parallel 4 link Is THE BEST for a anti axle wrap setup. With a panhard bar, the axle isn't going anywhere. cons are you can only mount the bags over(or behind) the axle which is about 5" of lift. And once you start hoppin in the rear at launch... you just keep hopping. Shocks can help that a little. Also the bags are mounted on the inside of the frame so you tend to feal alot of body roll when cornering
B. A 2-link is the most cost effective way to link your rear. Two bars and BLAM.... your done! and you can mount your bags on the links to get that crazy 12" of lift and get a better handling quality due to "spreading" out the bags farther. Cons are theres only 2 bars being beatin by a V-8. Your pinion angle is only right at one hight. I've also heard that if you try side to side, flexes you frame alot more than a 4 link would
C. Triangleaded 4-link. takes quality from a 2and 4 link. Trianglated part takes the panhard bar job plus gives extra strenght compare to a 2 link. Still can mount the bags on the outer links for 12" of great lift. Cons are you gotta relocate your tank SOMEWHERE.... cornering feels a little squichy compare to having a panhard bar. and theres ALOT more fabing which means a tad bit more money to install

Theres alot of pros and cons to each setup. Me personally, I finally settled on a tri linkjust cause I can't stand the whole over axle, 5" lift. Its kwel at first but... I'm ready for some 4x4 liftin action. Hope that helped you out a bit

UF.... I already yanked the rear spare for the tank and comps. Unfortunatly, I made braces for all of it and it all has to go if I want atleast 20gallons. I'll make sure to take lots of pics when I'm doing it
