 Subject: Question about the drop i am putting on

Hey there. i need some quick help with the drop im planning on putting on. I have DJM 2" lower control arms that are supposedly made for an rt. I also have Hotchkis 2" coils that are made for the v6. Now when i set the springs on the control arms there is alot of room around the diameter of the spring still. It looks as though the diameter of the spring should be alot bigger to fit the control arms. Is this because one is for an rt and the other isnt?? or are all control arms like this?? Its hard to explain, so hopefully someone might understand what i am talking about. If not ill try to explain it better. thanks!

Ok, maybe no one understands. Ill try again this way. Is there supposed to be play on the control arm bracket where to coil sits, or is it supposed to fit snuggly into the bracket and not be able to move back and forth?? also, how can i tell if the ball joints on the control arms are any good when the control arm is not attached to the truck?? what should i be looking for?
