I've been working on my bags on my Dakota for quite some time (can never get all the welders and torches in the same place at the same time), and I'd have to say that they are easier than I thought but still difficult to do. The back end of my '97 has a lot of $hit in the way and half of my exhaust ended up getting chopped. The front bags I thought were relatively easy. As far as your components go, buy just about anything except for Firestone bags. Before my buddy and I installed mine, he brought me a Slam Specialties bag and a Firestone bag. The quality difference was like comparing a Cavalier to a Ferrari. And for valves, I'm using Blitzluft 1/2" electronic fast valves and I've had zero trouble with mine so far. Take a visit over to www.fbimini.com. They have a nice kit and all the components I've talked about so far. If you get their kit, just make sure you upgrade to the Slam Specialties bags, and if you want, upgrade to FBSS. Might as well because as soon as you have half the system, you'll already want to do more. Hope this helps you in some way.
