I have a set of Western chassis 2" lowered control arms, my question is do I need to use a dropped shock or is a stock length shock ok?

I'm pretty sure the stock shocks should be fine with control arms. they dont change the distance b/t mounting points. (but i dont have drop arms, so someone correct me if im wrong). peace
