Can someone please tell me where I can find out the bolt pattern for my truck. I have a 1989 dodge dakota and need offset rims that will tuck into my truck when I lower it. I went to tirerack.com but all there rims are exact fit with original offsets. So can someone tell me a place I could go to at least find out what my bolt pattern is. All I know is that I have a 5 bolt pattern!

Lorne,

For your '93 DAK, those tires are going to be pretty small. I use a 205/55/R15 as a spare, and the front control arms almost drag with it on.

Here's some pointers from my experiences with my '95 which is the same body style.

First, a four-six drop will look outstanding on your truck. I assume you're going to use lowering shackle mounts, hangers, and a set of blocks in the rear. Either way, you'll need the C-section as well to go that low. Make sure to shave about half of the new bump stops off as well, that'll give you the extra room your rear will need to move. I recommed Belltech or Doestch Tech shocks.

For the front, you have several options. You can mix dropped spindles with drop coils, or you can use lowered lower control arms and drop coils, or you can just use drop coils and cut 'em down a bit (Eibach recommends no more than 3/4 of a coil). I've done them all and I recommend using the lowered lower control arms, and drop coils. If you use the drop spindles in conjunction with drop coils, those will put your front suspension components really close to the ground, and since your running on 15" rims for now, if you have a flat, your body will be dragging (i.e. lots of sparks). However if you upgrade to 17" rims, that won't be a problem. I would recommend 215/45/R17 for the front, and 255/45/R17 for the rear. Those will still tuck (barely) and give you maximum traction. Again, Belltech or Deostch Tech shocks are best.

Hope this helps!
