Has anyone ever tried fittin 20x10s on a stock height gen II dak? I've got 15x8s(dont laugh) and they stick out beyond the sides in both front and back. I'm not sure that i wanna go 20s, but i definitely want wider than 8s without them stickin way out. It throws up rocks like mad, and when i get my new paintjob i dont want it all scratched up..

A long time ago when they invented wheels somebody had a smart idea about the placement of the hoop in the rim. He decided to call it offset. Maximum positive offset can be seen on the front of a dually. Basically the whole rim is pushed under the truck and bolt face is all the way on the outside. On the rear of a dually you will see huge negative offset where the rim sticks way out past the bolt on face creating a dish. What you have now is too much negative offset or not enough positive offset. By going 2 inch wider in width on a 20 inch rim I don't believe your going to stick that much inside towards the leafs out back and the frame up front. They will rub like mad on tight turns. I have a 20x8.5 with a 38mm offset and they tuck in really good....no rocks thrown anywhere but in the fender and they are a hair from rubbing the frame when cut lock to lock in the front. Don't do a 10 and think you could tuck the entire rim into the fender.....it won't happen

thanks jeremy for the whole offset lecture.:) Yeah, it's hard to find rims with the six lug pattern that also look good. I'll just have to keep lookin for the right rims with the right offset...I'll actually probably just go with 18s. So if yall know a good place then shoot me an email at dannyautrey@hotmail..
