 Subject: shackle removal

I think ive decided to install my own drop kit
coils and shackles) . To make things easier I
think i should remove the box. This way i can
grind, drill and hammer away at the shackles
to get em off, which i have heard is a pain in
the ass. Is there some reason i shouldnt pay
my local mechanic to torch em off and do it for
me? He'll let me help wich will aid with the
labour cost. Best of all, he works for beer. Any
thoughts?
