Subject: Not too happy 2/2 drop

I recently installed the Ground Force Kit and not happy with it right now. First the instructions were wrong. Front snubbers req'r more cut than instructed (1/2") as lower arms/snubbers touching on the way home......so I cut another half inch. I still need more but anymore will be real close with the tires hitting the fenders on max compression. Also on dips in the road or bigger bumps........huge clunk that makes you swear in the vehicle thinking something broke!! I'm sure this is the snubbers impacting hard. As for the rear, seems to have stiffened too much. Snubbers not hitting, fyi. With the vehicle still, just sitting on the tailgate I know it's stiff. What do I do?? I like the drop / stance though. For the front, I'm thinking of putting the stock coils in but cutting to lower only 1" from factory which will still keep the rear slightly higher which is what I like......even with the 2" blocks. How much would I have to cut to lower the front 1" with the factory spring. Anything to raise it with the Ground Force springs 1/2" to 3/4" ??? Thanks

i installed to 2/3 kit from same manufacturer. with 1/2" cut off the front stops it almost rides on them, bad for whoops cause there is no travel but it corners awesome. Considering removing a little more. As far as out back, the 3 inch drop was great, i can still haul loads and the truck has a good stance. The rear on mine was dropped using leafs though.

I'm concerned about cutting more bumpstop on the front......I think on compression the front tire will come too close to the fender. Mine is an R/T 2002, assuming you guys that replied have an R/T as well as you know is 1" lower to start. As for the rear, as I mentioned not on the stops but very stiff.........didn't think 2" blocks did that. I know the kit is installed correctly, I'm pretty good mechanically and did it with my buddy at his autoshop and he's been a mechanic working on performance vehicles for many years.

You might find some coil spring spacers to raise the front 1/4 to 1/2". They came with the H&R springs for my Mustang GT, so they should be relatively easy to find. Good luck.
