Subject: 2" DJM A-arms, anyone else these on R/T?
IP: Logged

Message:
i just put some 2" DJM control arms on my 99 R/T and some 2" hangers also. they were supposed to drop me 2" in the front and 2" in the back but they actually dropped me 3" in the front and 3 1/2" in the back.

I am having a SERIOUS problem with these. i noticed that my 2 front fender flairs were cracked in half because i bottomed it out very badly! And thats not the worst part. when it cracked in 2 peices, it made like a sharp edge on each side and they peices have been cutting my tires!! it has put some serious gashes into my tires!!! they look like crap now!

but i took off the 2 front fender flairs and it doesnt rub them now. if i was to put 2 new ones on, is there anything i can do to stop it from bottoming out as bad instead of putting it back to its factory height? thanks,
-Matt
also, i'm looking for 2 fender flairs forsale-color is intense blue.

Matt, You will have to have longer bump stops or smaller diameter tires. Sometimes the bump stops they send with the lowering kits are too short for the amount of drop and tire dia. you have. You can use the original bump stops and cut them off so when the bump stop is bottomed out you still have space between tire and fender. Hope this helps. emka.
