Subject: Anyone with DJM 3/5, bottoming out probs
IP: Logged

Message:
Just wondering if anyone has had any bottoming out problems with this kit(control arms) cuz i just installed it and went over a fairly big bump and my tires hit the inside of my fender causing the inside of the fender to bend and scatch my tires. I thought bump stops were supposed to fix this problem?
thanks,
Ryan

What wheels and tires are you running? The bump stops are to prevent it from bottoming out on the frame not the tires. You may need to go with a lower profile tire. I'm running a Western Chassis 3/5 drop with 40 series 17" tires.

Ya, i have doretech nitro shocks on it. Also joez did you do the 3 inch control arms? plus r/ts are lowered 1 extra inch so that means that u have a 4 inch drop up front? So wouldnt that mean i would need a 4 inch bumpstop?

thanks
