Hey guy I lowered mine 2" front with the djms arms and love it but I am rubbing on bigger dips and bumps sometimes , I thikn the tires are hitting the flares or something , The shocks that came with the kit I was told were toxics , What to do , Has the djm bump stops ont he arms that came with them , Should I get bigger stops or different shocks ??

well, his shocks are new, so that shouldnt be his problem. i have a two inch drop via coils, and i dont rub. i think that getting bigger bump stops would solve the problem, if you dont mind the hard hit ever time you hit them!

i meant to add that another solution is smaller tires, there are plenty of 26 inch tall tires for our trucks.

I thought about smaller tires but then I get more open wheel well which Is why I dropped it in the first place , Bigger bump stops then it hits hard , hhmmmm , This sucks !

ya, the 26 inch add about 1 more inch of fender gap. on the bright side if you run them on the rear, youve accomplished over a 4.11 gear ratio...

i still dont understand why you would be rubbing so easily though, i have to rub front or rear, and i hit bumps hard! you did say 2 inch drop on an r/t??

Yes its 2" front and rear , rear never rubs , Front rubs not real easy but it rubs on dips and they dont have to be huge , Yes its A r/t with 255/55/17 on the front and 275/50/17 on the rear stock r/t wheels , Theres not much room betwwen the tire and fender flares on the front I think my flare is 28" from the ground so if you want to meaure yours and let me know your height , You have a r/t ?

Ok went out and measured it , I have ecxactly 28.5" from bottom of flare to ground adn exactly 2' from top of tire to where it hits the flare , I was thinking maybe the DJM 2" arms dropped it more than 2" ?? Anyone got a stock r/t they can measure like I did and tell me what you come up with ??

Well if you used coils to drop I can see why I rub and you dont I guess , Your is definatly going to be stiffer than mine hince it doesnt give as much as mine when I hit a dip , So I think I will try and find some bigger stops for now and I am goiing to get new front tires soon anyway to match the rears so I will just get the 255/50/17 and it should not rub anymore , Its not bad but its annoying knowing its hitting my flares and taking the paint off them !

My front tires rub on the top of the fender as well... with 275/50/17 on R/T wheels with the Hotchkis TVS kit... it barely touches on big dips but it is annoying... this is with the Hotchkis bump stop that is 1 inch high.. about as high as the metal bracket on the stock one. Hope this helps some.
