I am desperately looking for just the scoop from a shaker hood set up. I am trying to make a shaker hood for my 93 5.2L. Has anyone tried to do this yet on their own and if so what problems did u come into with the project. I know that their arent any kits ready for a 93 but custom fabrication would not be a problem.

it's funny you should mention this..because i had bought just the shaker part from terry last year..it was one of his last ones i think..anyways i am having the same ideas as everyone else. I know somebody makes a trim ring already...but i just can't find the info. What i need is the dimensions for a template to cut out my hood. Someone with the gen3 hood will hopefully help me out. I also now have a supercharger..so i might just bolt the to part to the underside of the hood for looks and cool the engine compartment..or maybe hook up an airbox to the supercharger inlet..who knows..but if someone can send me measurements or a template..i would be more then happy to spread the word and help other ppl out once mine is sorted out!! Thanks!!! mike

Hey guys, Classic design Concepts, make a shaker set up for any mustang. It also has an adapter to make it supercharger ready. These could be fabed up i'm sure. just google under shaker hood and you'll find tons of there adds.

Check e-bay. I know there was a guy selling the scoops and a trim kit to cut a hole in the stock gen 2 hood. I know a guy on a Durango forum that used the kit. If you can fab, I'm sure you could get it to work. The scoop is the big thing.

the thing about that guy is that he wouldn't sell me just a trim ring..or tell me of a place where i could find something similar. I already have one of terry delongs shakers..just need a template to cut the hood out with..and it would be nice to have a trim piece...but i could always fab something up...mike
