Hey all, I've got a 99 CC Dak, with the old 15x8 wheels, and I need new tires. I've been browsing around and searching on this site for ideas from people, and it looks like Pirelli Scorpion Zero are a pretty good idea to go with.

The thing is, lots of people in posts I'm reading are talking about a 275/60/15 tire, which I can't seem to find anywhere. I can find the 255/65/15 which is the same size as the stock GoodYear Eagle LS tires that came with the truck, or a 255/60/15, but I can't find the 275/60/15.

I was looking at TireRack here:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?make=Pirelli&model=Scorpion+Zero

and also at the Pirelli website here:
http://www.ca.pirelli.com/en_CA/tyres/catalog/tyre_product.jhtml?selected=desc&productid=2933&catid=CAESUVHP

I don't see the 275/60/15 tires anywhere on either of those sites, does anyone know if they stopped making these tires? I mean, I can go with the 255/65/15 of course, but if I had a choice I think I'd rather go with the one that's a little wider.

I don't think Pirelli has ever made the P-Zero in 275/60-15. I think the 255/65-15 is your best choice.

Dunlop still makes some of the best 60 series tires in the G/T Qualifiers, which have been around since the '70's. They are great performance for the money, usually under $100 each. I checked dunloptire.com and they still make the 275/60/15. I had a '92 Dak with Centerline 15x7 front and 15x8 rear. The tires were G/T Q's 245/60/15 and 295/50/15. 45K/mi tire wear! My '01 Motorsport has the 285/60/16 Goodyear Eagle#1's on the rear, but they have never balanced out right after 4 tries, so I can't wait to wear them out and go to Michelins or Dunlops. The yellow letter tires are history already...now come in WHITE letters (yuk!). Check goodyeartire.com.

hrmmm...wierd, I could swear people were talking about them in the threads I was reading...it's entirely possible though that I didn't read everything they said or misunderstood it cause I was going over them pretty quick...

I wore thru my stock tires (now on my 4th set) in 1500 miles...i was hard pressed for cash so i put a set of kelly chargers on.....295 50 15s they lasted 20,000 of my driving....great in snow even with the ginormous width and were cheap to boot. I now have a set of scorchers on my R/T wheels and hate em :(
