Congratulations! I think you will be happy with the 3.92 gears and the 4 wheel disc brakes. I wish I had them.

Pretty close to the same truck I got ('03 4x4 SLT+) exact same drive train you mention for yours.

I love my truck. The only pit fall I can find is the milage. I'm lucky to get more than 16 mpg on the highway.

Update:,, Called the CD today, truck should be delivered today or tomorrow to dealer. Hope to get the call today since I have the day off. Woo- Hoo! (In case you are wondering, ordered it on the 27th of Dec. Delayed due to holidays, but still not bad turn around time.)

Congratulations! Assuming your planning on adding some mods, what do you plan to do first? Or are you planning on keeping it stock?

I just ordered and picked up the exact same truck! Came with 6 miles on it (now 451), and she's awesome! I'm very, very happy with it bone stock (although I may eventually get all the seats done in leather to match the steering wheel). Don't think there's a more fun, better performing, better looking truck out there for even close to the money. pics here: http://community.webshots.com/photo/61177320/61848985ocRNES

First thing is order an A.R.E. cap for it. The other half and I like to camp in the back. Maybe a K&N filter, but nothing probably until a year has gone to let any problems surface then who knows?

I've ordered a foldacover bedcover for it, but apart from maybe doing the seats in leather, I'm really leaning towards leaving it stock (I say that now...). I think instead of dropping $4000 - $5000 on a supercharger set up, traction bars, slicks, etc., I think I'll get an old Datsun 240Z or an old 5.0 and blow my money on modding one of those, and tow it around in my nice, stock dak.

Ok, WTF was Dodge thinking by relocating the "Dodge" and (new for '03) "Dakota" on the tailgate to the middle? Remove those for a nice clean appearance.

Here here!!!
I had mine off with in days of purchase. I think it actually looks great without the stickers and also larger.
