Because so many of them are oxygenated fuels. Buying gas nowadays is all about reading comprehension. Y'all like the smell/taste/after effects of MTBE and the like?? And you have to love the effects of alcohol on fuel mileage, along with it's affinity for water in your gas tank, etc. Don't get me wrong-- I'm a firm environmentalist, I just don't like seeing bad science put into action on a national level and via a national agency. There are too many other good options out there in the way of alternative fuels....

Best,

DG
