in my dakota 2.5L i have been noticing gas going a lot faster then it should be (it is rated at 20 city) i have been getting about 15. since i am new to driving a stick i was wondering if maybe it is because i am letting it rev really high before i shift? could that be my problem or something else?

the higher you rev your engine, and the further down you mash your right pettle, the more fuel you burn. try shifting at a low rpm, and maby even put it in nutral when going down hill and you will get better gas miledge.
